Some of the groups and organizations available around the US are:

United States Master Swimmers
United States Masters Swimming (USMS) is a national organization that provides organized workouts, competitions, clinics and workshops for adults aged 18 and over. Programs are open to all adult swimmers (fitness, triathlete, competitive, non-competitive) who are dedicated to improving their fitness through swimming. More information on this organization and location of clubs can be found at

Bozeman StingRays
The Bozeman StingRays are a competitive and recreational synchronized swimming club. Many of our swimmers compete nationally. We meet at the Swim Center between two and four times a week, for an hour to an hour and a half each time, right after school, starting at 4:15 p.m. The first half of the practice sessions begin with a workout lap swim and the other half of our practice sessions focus on individual figures or routines. The routines are choreographed to music and all the figures that are learned during the year are incorporated into it. Swimmers can swim in teams, trios, duets or solos. The swimmers are divided into three main groups according to their abilities: novice, intermediate and age group. There is at least one coach for each group.

Our season begins in September and finishes up in April or May. We know it is a long season, but synchronized swimming takes a lot of practice. But most of all, synchronized swimming is extremely rewarding and lots of fun. “Synchro” is not only a fun sport, but it also increases a person’s lung capacity and flexibility. What a great way to stay healthy!
