Let me introduce myself.

My name is Angela K. De Haan-Lovaas.  I was born and raised on a ranch just outside of Bozeman, Montana.  I have always had a strong love of all animals and being outdoors.  I graduated from High School in 1994 and went directly to Montana State University and obtained a teaching degree in Technology Education with a Health Education minor.

After many years of being in and around the water (swimming and waterskiing) one of my closest friends finally convinced me to get my Lifeguard Certification.  Once I completed the course and was hired on at the Bozeman Swim Center and Recreation Department, I became interested in the water fitness classes.

After a short time I was trained to instruct the classes on my own.  After my initial training in water fitness I completed a certification course.  Since completing my first certification I have completed several certification courses within the aquatic fitness and water professional arenas.  My certifications include:

  • Aquatic Group Fitness Instructor--Exercise Science Alliance
  • Adaptive Fitness Training for Adults with Chronic Conditions--Exercise Science Alliance
  • Aquatic Therapy Certification--Exercise Science Alliance
  • Sports Nutrition Certification--Exercise Science Alliance
  • WaterART Fundamentals Instructor--WaterART Fitness
  • WaterART Senior and Special Populations Certification--WaterART Fitness
  • Lifeguard Instructor--Red Cross
  • Water Safety Instructor--Red Cross
  • CPR/First Aid Instructor--Red Cross

Besides all of my work in and around the water, I enjoy woodworking , riding horse, and just being outdoors in general.  Much of my spare time is spent at my family's ranch with my husband.
